Welcome to Miss Raymond's
Math 7 and Math 8!
Hi Everyone! My name is Miss Raymond and this is my first year teaching Math at Skaneateles Middle School. I am currently teaching 2 classes of 8th grade math and 2 classes of 7th grade math. I graduated from Wells College, a tiny school in a tiny little town, in 2008 with my BA in Math. I absolutely loved Wells and made some great friends there! After Wells, I went on to LeMoyne College where I earned my graduate degree in 5-12 Mathematics Education. I completed my Masters degree while substitute teaching in the Union Springs School District, where I also received a long term sub position. Currently, I live in Auburn with my Rottweiler puppy, Mocha Latte. She is a sweetheart, but definitely a handful too!!
Both teaching and math have always been something I have been very passionate about. In fact, I know that teaching is what I am meant to do and where I am meant to be. I believe that every student deserves an equal opportunity to succeed and that all students need to be challenged within their education. In my classroom, I know that we will form a comfortable and confident community where each of my students can grow as individuals and successful mathematicians too! I am looking forward to having a great first year and sharing this experience with all of you!
